Attendance Tracking

Track youth soccer practice attendance in Pitch Planner, mark players present or absent, review attendance trends, and use those notes on match day.

Pro and Premium coaches can track who shows up to practices, scrimmages, and other team events. Attendance data feeds into lineup setup alerts so you know who’s been missing. Free accounts retain existing attendance history after a downgrade, but cannot view or record attendance until they upgrade.

Creating an Event

Attendance recording requires Pro or Premium. Pro includes up to 75 attendance events per team, and Premium includes up to 150.

  1. Open your team and tap Attendance
  2. Tap Log Event
  3. Choose a type (Practice, Scrimmage, or Other), set the date, and add an optional title or notes
  4. Tap Create & Take Attendance

Recording Attendance

  1. Open an event from the attendance list
  2. Each player shows buttons for Present, Absent, Late, and Excused
  3. Choose the right status for each player
  4. Tap Save

Match Attendance

On Pro and Premium, starting a match automatically records every player in the lineup as “Present.” No manual step is needed.

Attendance Stats

Open the attendance overflow menu and choose Stats to review:

  • Attendance rate per player
  • Color-coded dots: green (100%), yellow (50-99%), red (below 50%)

Lineup Alerts

During match setup, players with poor attendance get flagged:

  • Players who missed the last practice
  • Players with attendance below 60% in the last 7 days

These are non-blocking warnings — you can still select them for the lineup.

NEXT STEP FOR ATTENDANCE

Record who trained before you set Saturday’s roster.

Log practice attendance and bring that context into the next lineup decision without rebuilding a separate sheet.
